Big Bend, Vernon Open Negotiations

I'm happy to post this link:

Big Bend, Vernon Open Negotiations

I have my fingers crossed that this development will stop the madness and at least get the ball rolling in the right direction.  I've been a strong advocate of negotiating with the village from day one.  It makes no sense for two communities, so closely tied, to duplicate efforts in fire and rescue services.  Never mind the cost to actually create the separate services in the first place.

I commend the Vernon Town Board for taking this first step.  I feel a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

It’s now time to watch closely that our two governments work to strike a fair compromise that we can all live with.  An agreement like this is very similar to a marriage; we need to continue to work and grow together.  We will not agree all the time, or even most of the time, but we need to understand the benefits of our arrangement, we need to compromise, and we need to operate in good faith to keep the marriage strong.

It truly is the best thing for both communities.

  3. Hopefully Vernon Town Chairmen Supervisors will be realistic with what they would like to see in a new inter-municipal agreement, rumor has it they want the moon the sun and the stars.

  4. HEY MIKE,

WAKE UP!!!!! THE TOWN BOARD IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. IF YOU THINK THEY WILL, THEN JUST WATCH THE JULY 1, 2010 TOWN MEETING.... THESE GUYS ARE OUT OF CONTROL AND WHAT THEY DID TO SUPERVISOR SINGERT IS UNACCEPTABLE.......

  7. In the Mukwonago Chief: "If you have integrity on one side and not the other, you can have a 1,200-page document and you're going absolutely nowhere with it," said Craig.

So finally Craig admits that he has no integrity!

Now that he has come to terms with the fact that Vernon has no integrity maybe they should start trying to rebuild their character by making the right choices!

Children could run that town better, seriously.

    Signed,
A happy "New" Big Bend business owner
